About The Position

Service Assistants lend support to our staff and improve the overall food and beverage experience for the guests. They assist servers, performing any tasks necessary to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

Prior busser or food runner experience in high-volume, fast paced restaurant or similar environment preferred.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results- oriented, restaurant/bar/venue environment
Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently
Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner
Ability to sustain loud noise volume

Responsibilities

Welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting.
Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests.
Exercise table maintenance when dropping off food, clearing any dirty dishes as necessary, etc.
Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
Have extensive menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information and communicate this information tableside to guests.
Be able to navigate restaurant and venue floor, including tight spaces and dark and noisy rooms.
Check floor set up, making sure proper number of chairs are at each table in every section.
Assure tabletops and chairs are sanitized as well as floor area around them.
Inform management of any complaints, comments, or incidents.
Maintain a good rapport with both FOH & BOH hourly & management teams.
Ensure daily/nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed.
Perform other reasonably assigned duties as per business needs and/or assigned by management.
