Velocity Truck Rental and Leasing is looking for a dynamic and self-starting individual for the role of Service Advisor at our Rancho Dominguez Location, in the role of Service Advisor, you will provide office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects. A Service Advisor key job is to manage the warranty process and assist through the entire repair and warranty event in collaboration with their Service advisor(s), Shop Staff & Management from time the vehicle arrives. Responsibilities can include collecting data from technicians, communicating with the customer, tracking open warranty repair orders on the work in process, invoicing & processing warranty claims, tracking parts, and assessing warranty coverage limits. Your Warranty Administrator should also be an expert in all areas of our service administrative processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Two (2) to five (5) years of office administration experience
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of warranty or automotive/diesel industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a highly Interactive environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management & organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, problem-solving and sales skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Excellent decision-making, Negotiation & Good problem solving abilities are a must
  • Skills in Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, and Accounts Receivable preferred
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and background checks

Responsibilities

  • Warranty Management for all Warranty Events for assigned locations
  • Warranty RO Invoicing & Claims Processing based on set KPI’s, Goals and Budgets
  • Daily Work In Process Management for all warranty jobs
  • Timely Payment, Schedule Management, Reconciliation & Aging management
  • Warranty Determination & Advisor Support
  • Service Advisor & Warranty Administrative Training (All Service Staff)
  • Liaison between the Shop and Warranty Manufacturers
  • Failed Parts Mgt & Coordination with the Parts Dept.
  • Audit Compliance and Trend Review
  • Processes invoices and repair orders for payment into the maintenance management system.
  • Maintains all unit and other files for proper filing and document retention as per legal requirements.
