Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a Service Advisor role, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • An excellent understanding of automotive systems and terminology.
  • Superb customer service skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively.
  • Proficiency in service department computer systems and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to explain complex automotive issues in a simple, easily understandable manner.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills, able to think quickly in high-stress situations.
  • Able to work cooperatively as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding customers throughout the entire repair process, making sure they understand all the procedures, setting expectations correctly, and answering any questions that arise.
  • Checking in and checking out client vehicles, noting any apparent damage, or issues.
  • Creating and managing service orders based on the customers' requests and the mechanic's findings.
  • Tracking progress on repair orders to ensure timely completion, addressing any delays promptly.
  • Presenting customers with detailed invoices, explaining each charge and the associated service or repair.
  • Assisting the service manager to maintain a smooth running daily operation.
