About The Position

The Service Advisor serves as the liaison between customers and technicians. Service Advisors acknowledge concerns of the customer and log them for technician review, ensure that the agreed upon schedule and budgets are met, and provide supporting documentation of the technical information.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with customers.
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess basic mathematics and excellent writing skills.
  • Sit and stand for an extended amount of time.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks within the dealership.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Obtains customer’s expectations of time, budget and overall expectations and provide estimates for approval.
  • Educates and recommends repairs to the customer after the diagnosis is made.
  • Collaborates with the service technician, service manager, and parts department on customer repairs.
  • Converts technical verbiage into easy-to-understand practical information for customers.
  • Ensures parts needed for repair orders are ordered, pulled, and kept organized.
  • Proactively communicates via email, text, telephone, in person, to clients and service technicians.
  • Maintains customer records in computer databases.
  • Facilitates warranty and insurance claims and repairs.
  • Invoices and collects payments for services rendered.
  • Assist in loading and unloading customer equipment and parts shipments.
