About The Position

Merit Chevrolet is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor/Consultant to join our team. We have been Family owned since 1949, and we take pride in our high level of customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Greet customers, listen to the description of the problem, obtain customer and vehicle information Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when vehicle's work will be completed Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacture's specifications, using maintenance menus Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised Handle telephone inquiries and return phone messages promptly Deliver vehicles to customers and answer any questions, review work performed and explain charges and coverage Assist the service manager as necessary

Requirements

  • Two or more year’s related experience in an automotive service advisor/consultant position preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Ability to work well in a process driven environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, listen to the description of the problem, obtain customer and vehicle information
