Mckinney Trailer Rentals is a leading provider of trailer equipment for rent or lease. We leverage our diverse fleet of over 38,000 trailers to ensure you find what you need when you need it. The Service Administrator is responsible for issuing purchase order numbers to suppliers and to outside service companies, customer service, creating work orders and bill back estimates to customers, assigning and logging mobile terminals (Skybitz) to trailers, and logging information such as tires, estimates to spreadsheets.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma is required.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in state of employment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and the general public.
  • Communicates with a wide range of individuals from yard staff to upper management.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • The candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

  • Meets daily with Service Manager and other operations personnel to discuss any priorities that need to be made first thing in the morning.
  • Issue purchase order numbers to suppliers and outside service providers (OSP).
  • Analyze OSP’s invoices and determine if the repairs done on the trailer were damaged by the customer.
  • Create a service and repair estimate for the damages that were done by customers.
  • Create equipment work orders for OSP invoices.
  • Update trailer specifications/ data in computer or office file.
  • Log service and repair estimates to an Excel Spreadsheet and email the company controller with a monthly report.
  • Customer Service; fill out a service request form.
  • Assign mobile terminals (Skybitz) to trailers and log the information to the Skybitz website. www.skybitz.com.
  • Log tire-track tags to an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Help the inspector with inspections.
  • Close and lock all gates and garage doors at the end of the day.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
