About The Position

The HVAC Service Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned service accounts by building strong customer relationships, coordinating service delivery, and identifying opportunities for additional services. This role acts as the primary point of contact between customers, technicians, and internal teams to ensure high-quality service, contract retention, and profitable growth. Hobbs & Associates specializes in providing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products and engineering services to commercial and industrial building contractors, architectural design firms, and business owners. Our collaborative approach helps bring lasting community infrastructure to life, including schools, universities, hospitals, military and municipal buildings, entertainment venues, hotels, and multi-family residences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC service, account management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and service operations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
  • Proficient with CRM, service management, and Microsoft Office software
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned commercial and/or industrial HVAC service accounts
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Manage service agreements, renewals, and contract negotiations
  • Coordinate with service dispatch, technicians, and operations to ensure timely and effective service delivery
  • Conduct regular account reviews and site visits to assess system performance and customer satisfaction
  • Identify selling opportunities (repairs, replacements, upgrades, Turnkey Projects, IAQ, etc.)
  • Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and service solutions
  • Track and follow up on open work orders, quotes, and customer concerns
  • Ensure accurate documentation of accounts, contracts, and communications in CRM systems
  • Resolve customer issues and escalate as needed to ensure satisfaction
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, and leadership teams to support company goals
  • Monitor account profitability and recommend improvements
