FT/PT Server
About The Position
Tired of working late nights and not getting enough hours? If so, we are hiring FULL-TIME and PART-TIME Servers to join our team! Join Southminster, Charlotte's premier and award-winning retirement community, where compassionate care meets excellence. We're seeking experienced servers to join our culinary team and deliver a memorable dining experience to residents in a team-oriented environment. This is a unique, high volume, fine dining experience with 5 venues, full bar, and banquet facilities. Special events and catering add a level of experience comparable to the finest restaurants in the city.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read and write in English, follow directions (oral and written) in English and communicate with residents and staff.
- Experience working as a server in a full-service restaurant
- Experience as a dining room server or waiter/waitress, preferred but not required.
- Must be able to read and write English, follow directions (oral and written) ,and communicate with residents and staff (oral and written).
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Our community requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or apply for and receive an approved exemption as a condition of employment. In addition, Southminster may require proof of your vaccination status for MMR, Chicken pox, hepatitis and the flu.

Nice To Haves
- 1 - 3 years of experience working as a server in a full-service restaurant
- Servsafe or Tips preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Take resident orders
- Make recommendations about menu items to residents and guests
- Deliver food with a pleasant demeanor and ensure guests/residents are served timely
- Set up tables and provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for our residents
