Big Woods Restaurant in Speedway is seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team! We are looking to fill both morning and evening shifts with weekend availability.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of food and beverage offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Must be 19+ years of age.
Must have or be able to obtain an Indiana Liquor License.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
ServSafe or similar food safety certification is desirable but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they enter the restaurant.
Present menus and answer any questions regarding menu items, specials, and beverage options.
Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring any dietary restrictions or special requests are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and menu choices, guiding them through their dining experience.
Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and garnishing of dishes.
Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs.
Clear tables and maintain a clean and organized dining environment throughout the guest's visit.
Process payments, handle cash transactions, and accurately enter orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient communication and smooth service flow.
Upsell menu items, special promotions, and beverages to enhance the guest experience and contribute to revenue goals.
Assist in setting up and closing duties, including preparing the dining area for service, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage of equipment.
