About The Position

Big Woods in Noblesville is currently seeking a Front of House Manager.  The Front of House Manager role is vital in achieving our objective, including sales, cost management, employee retention, guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

Requirements

  • Possess excellent communication skills to interact with staff, management, and customers professionally.
  • Have leadership experience in front-of-the-house operations in the service, food, and beverage industry.
  • Proficiency in handling various software tools, including POS systems.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Must have or be able to obtain an Alcohol Serving permit through the State of Indiana.

Nice To Haves

  • Mixology, bar and beverage management experience preferred.
  • ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and leading the planning, coordination, and training needed to achieve our goals.
  • Ensuring that all guests consistently receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Guaranteeing the consistent preparation and serving of food and products according to our recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, facility appearance, and cleanliness by training employees and fostering a positive working environment.
  • Handling cash and other receipts according to our cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Making employment and termination decisions in line with General Manager guidelines.
  • Filling in where necessary to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Developing your staff in all aspects of managerial and professional growth.
  • Preparing all required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and in excellent working condition.
  • Overseeing compliance with restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals and timely completion.
  • Scheduling labor according to anticipated business activity, ensuring all positions are adequately staffed, and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Administering prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Complying with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations regarding health, safety, and labor requirements.
  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with the General Manager and Assistant Manager.
