About The Position

As a restaurant server, you would provide friendly and efficient service to ensure every guest has a positive dining experience.. At PJ’s Restaurant, located within SentryWorld, we specialize in homemade recipes that are the Wisconsin focus including, cheese curds, fish fry, and cocktails. We work as a small team and have very high standards of service, meaning we work hard and with precision. As Server, you will be responsible for providing guests with friendly and efficient food and beverage service.

Requirements

• Age requirement of 18+ required
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience, 6+ months of previous serving experience preferred
• Must be able to obtain TIPS Certification
• Ability to move equipment to and from the kitchen
• Excellent oral communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work non-standard hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide positive dining experience by taking orders, delivering meals, fulfilling customer requests, refilling glasses and removing dishes at conclusion of courses
• Maintain knowledge on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations.
• Help customers in dining selection by suggesting dishes, explaining house specials and answering questions regarding food preparation and ingredients.
• Responsible for totaling charges, issuing checks, processing payments and issuing receipts.
• Properly skilled to suggest appropriate wines and other beverages to go along with customers’ meals.
• Prepare room for dining by setting tables and refilling condiments.
