YOU WILL BE: The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent to the high standards set by Neiman Marcus. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Serves assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items Leverages knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures Interacts graciously with the public and handles multiple duties at the same time Participates in daily pre-shift meeting Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintains knowledge of the POS system Executes pre-shift, post-shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.) Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to: Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks Exercises integrity with scheduling Punches in before and out after every scheduled shift Follows established procedure for schedule and shift changes Takes appropriate lunch breaks when applicable, punching accordingly Coordinates holiday, vacation, and any time off with management while considering the needs of the restaurant WHAT YOU WILL BRING: High School diploma or GED preferred Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines Ability to work autonomously Motivated and results-driven Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings (e.g., china, glass, flatware), food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and the guidebook Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills "Win together" mentality Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays YOUR LIFE AND CAREER AT NEIMAN MARCUS: Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformation Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi-brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, to digital or corporate Comprehensive benefits package for all eligible full-time employees (including medical, vision and dental) An amazing employee discount SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS : The [hourly rate] for this position is between [$ 19.16 - 23.95 per hour ].
