About The Position

Maxime’s is NYC’s newest private member’s club from entrepreneur Robin Birley; owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London. Maxime’s mission is to provide exceptional and discreet service for our members through unparalleled hospitality. Our aim is to make members feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor. Maxime’s is the newest private member’s club opening from entrepreneur Robin Birley, located on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. We are seeking a talented Server - Somm to join our world- class hospitality brigade. Reporting to the Lounge Manager, the Server - Somm will be responsible for leading wine and beverage service in our elegant cocktail bar and lounge dining room spaces. You’ll be working as part of an established team delivering exceptional experiences daily. Requirements

  • Proven success as a Sommelier, Server - Somm or equivalent position within fine dining, Michelin-star establishments, or luxury hotel settings.
  • Strong knowledge of wine and wine service, spirits and cocktails as well as culinary concepts and terminology.
  • Polished personal presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrives in high- end environments, consistently upholding superior service standards and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items in our Zodiac Lounge to assist members with any dietary concerns or issues, including any dietary preferences and/or food allergies.
  • Maintains a professional, upbeat demeanor and embraces a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • TIPS certification required.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business.
