About The Position
Lucero is a premier dining destination known for elevated cuisine, exceptional guest service, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Located on the rooftop level of Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU, Lucero has amazing views of the area. Our team members work together to create memorable, immersive experiences for every guest, leaving them with a lasting impression of our dedication to hospitality. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Server to join our team at Lucero. This role involves high-end food and beverage service, with an emphasis on creating engaging guest experiences. This is a part-time position. Saturday availability is required.
Requirements
- Previous serving experience in a high-end or fine dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixology.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, guest-focused attitude with polished presentation.
- Food Handler’s and/or Alcohol Server Certification (or ability to obtain) is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bartending or cocktail preparation experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, professional greeting to guests and guide them through the dining experience.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, daily specials, and beverage pairings.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of menu offerings, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Serve food and beverages according to Lucero’s high presentation standards.
- Upsell wine, cocktails, and specialty beverages to enhance guests’ dining experiences.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff.
- Assist with occasional bartending duties, including preparing craft cocktails, stocking inventory, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Handle transactions, process payments, and manage guest checks accurately.
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service protocols.
