About The Position

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team. Responsible for administration of the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure including end-user devices, Microsoft Servers, ESX VMware, clustering, Storage Area Network (SAN), and Cloud technologies. Responds to end-user requests for troubleshooting assistance, coordinating across multiple IT sections and disciplines to provide analysis and support of tier 2 and tier 3 IT incidents. Develops and designs solutions to meet customer requirements. Implements plans and creates documentation. Applies technical expertise to manage Active Directory user accounts, groups, and devices. Installs, configures, and troubleshoots servers and systems to ensure a stable and reliable server infrastructure in a dynamic, fast-growing environment. Ensure information systems’ security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability; Information Assurance (IA) requirements compliance; application policies and procedures adherence.

Requirements

  • Must meet one of the following at a minimum: a) Associate's Degree in an IT related field, or b) two (2) years’ experience supporting and/or managing Microsoft products.
  • Must meet baseline certification requirements in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT-II category or higher.
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing tier 1 or higher support for server technologies such as Active Directory, SAN/NAS, VMware, SQL, or IIS preferred.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting issues across a wide variety of technologies impacting users to include but not limited to networking, end-user computers, and server services such as DHCP, DNS, IIS, etc.
  • Some experience troubleshooting end-user issues within a virtual environment such as VMware/VDI.
  • Extensive experience managing Active Directory.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts of a team of technical support personnel.
  • Excellent customer support and communication skills.
