About The Position

Providence Place of Pottsville is seeking to recruit a compassionate, customer service driven individual to enhance our residents' dining experience. The Dining Room Server /Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that residents have a positive experience during mealtimes.

Requirements

• Superb customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must work well as a team and be capable of leading a team of coworkers in the dining room
• Knowledge of food handling, dining room, and/or hospitality procedures
• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of sanitation course (ServSafe) must be completed within 3 months of hire
• Successful candidate will be service oriented, demonstrate a positive attitude, and have a neat, professional appearance

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in dining or restaurant service
• Supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that residents have a positive experience during mealtimes
• Training new coworkers on proper dining room etiquette and procedures
• Ensuring an organized process for meal service
• Communicating dining room needs to the Director of Dining Services
• Ensuring that the dining room is clean and set for lunch and dinner meals
