About The Position

Server Assistants are responsible for delivering exceptional guest service in alignment with Luminary Hotel & Co. standards and the standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development. Morning availability is required, with shifts typically running from 5AM–2PM.

Requirements

• High School diploma or higher
• Previous hospitality experience required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads
• Ability to lift 20 pounds or more
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Corrected vision to normal range
• Ability to work long hours as needed
• Make sound judgments quickly
• Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines
• Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others
• Manage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the community
• Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
• Ability to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situations
• Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of Ella Mae steps of service and guest interaction.
• Serves guests in an efficient courteous manner following the proper steps of service
• Responsible for setting tables, serving food orders and removing used plate ware and utensils
• Light food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hot
• Ability to handle station, or when situations arise, ability to let manager/supervisor know ahead of time so as not to affect the guest experience
• Polish glass ware, utensils, organize clean and soiled linen
• Perform other duties as management requests to service our guests
• Follow and complete procedures as they relate to In Room Dining (IRD)
• Input order into POS system Micros
• Organize items and needs to be brought to room based on order
• Follow Covid-19 guidelines set forth for delivery
