Job Overview To act as an assistant to the server, by capably handling all guest needs while working as a cohesive team within the entire Urban Farmer Front of the House Staff.

Requirements

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of food and beverages, ensuring that plate and drink presentations along with food quality are of the highest standard possible.
  • Clear and reset tables in accordance with established standards in order to seat new customers as quickly as possible.
  • Remove full tubs from bus stations to dishwashing area for cleaning, and maintain a clean, well-stocked and orderly bus station at all times in order to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, glassware, and garnishes in the restaurant.
  • Retain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
  • Retrieve cleaned dishes, glassware and utensils from the dish room and distribute to each service station in order to keep a ready supply available for restaurant use.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests.
  • Be empowered to deliver what the guest needs in a timely fashion and with impeccable communication to the server.
  • Knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code of the restaurant.
  • Comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
  • Assist other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel.
