The Serials & Electronic Resources Manager, under the supervision of the Associate Director of Access & Collection Services, oversees the Serials & E-Resources division, including but not limited to the purchase, receipt, processing, and access of library materials. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position is on-site, located at the Stephenville, Texas campus. Typical work hours are Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. As a librarian, holiday, evening, and/or weekend duties are required.

Requirements

  • ALA-accredited Master's degree in library or information science or international equivalent required
  • Four years of related experience in an academic library setting.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Knowledge of automated library systems.
  • Knowledge of basic metadata schemas, digital collection management software, security, and public safety issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and research skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to use basic print and electronic reference tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Electronic Resources Access, Licensing, and Vendor Relations.
  • Oversees all operations of the Serials and E-Resources Department, both print and electronic.
  • Professional Librarian: Serve the community using expertise in reference, instruction, liaison, and professional duties.
