About The Position
Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Sergeant for the Westmoreland County Prison. The purpose of this position is to maintain prison security and supervise and direct the activities of prison staff. Applicants must have an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field with three to five years experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applicants must also successfully complete required training at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Training Academy. Starting base salary is $57,054.00/yr.
