About The Position

The Cary Company is seeking an on‑site SEO & Web Performance Manager to own and execute the technical foundation of our organic growth. This role is hands‑on and accountable and you’ll be responsible for improving site health, search visibility, and performance across our web properties by identifying issues, prioritizing fixes, and partnering closely with development and marketing teams to get work shipped. Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, with a strong technical focus
  • Demonstrated experience improving crawlability, indexation, and site performance on large or complex sites
  • Comfortable working directly with developers and translating SEO needs into technical requirements
  • Strong experience with Google Search Console and GA4
  • Proven ability to prioritize work and deliver measurable improvements
  • Clear, concise communicator who can explain technical issues in plain English

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the technical SEO roadmap for theCaryCompany.com and related properties
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve crawlability, indexation, site architecture, and performance issues
  • Partner directly with developers and web teams to implement SEO fixes (not just recommend them)
  • Own SEO requirements for new pages, categories, templates, and site changes
  • Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, and site health metrics
  • Build and maintain SEO dashboards using GSC, GA4, and related tools
  • Track impact of changes on traffic, conversions, and revenue‑driving pages
  • Clearly communicate priorities, progress, and results to leadership
