About The Position

The Senior Workforce Trainer is an instructor for Accelerated Training Solutions for an advanced or elevated industry cluster. This role is responsible for leading workforce training programs, mentoring other trainers, and supporting curriculum development across industries. This role may include direct employer engagement to design and deliver customized training solutions aligned with industry needs. Salary Range: $64,525- $74,203 The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Essential Functions Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and members of the community. Serve as the trainer for advanced training programs across current and emerging fields, including technical, manufacturing, healthcare, and other high-demand sectors driven by industry trends. Serve as a subject matter expert for high-impact training initiatives by developing and delivering customized instruction across diverse industries. Collaborate with employers, community partners, and workforce agencies to ensure training aligns with current and future skill demands, while also supporting program design, curriculum updates, and learner success. Remain responsive to industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure workforce readiness and long-term program relevance. Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects, including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects. Coordinate training schedules, instructional materials, and teaching assignments in collaboration with Accelerated Training Solutions staff, including project leads and managers. Maintain accurate documentation, including attendance, grades, evaluations, and client-facing reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable credentialing, licensure, or safety standards relevant to the subject matter taught. Collaborate with and mentor adjunct instructors within the same program area, offering guidance and sharing best practices to support instructional excellence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (or higher) in Industrial Systems, Mechatronics, Electrical Troubleshooting, or related flied or equivalent industry experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, or automation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant technical or occupational skill areas, as determined by program goals and employer demand.
  • Strong understanding of higher education and workforce development landscape.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clarity, influence, and impact across various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Educational requirements vary based on the training needs.
  • Three to five years of related experience relevant to the subject needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in non-credit course/curriculum development with practical involvement in developing and implementing a variety of credit, non-credit and short-term credit programs.
  • Note: Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, except in cases where a specific degree is required to meet accreditation standards, licensure requirements, or other legislative or regulatory obligations. This includes, but is not limited to, certain faculty positions and staff roles governed by state or federal educational mandates.
