The Center for Workforce Research and Information manages the programs that provide the most important information about labor market conditions in Maine. These programs inform the public about employment, unemployment, and wages for the state and local areas. The Senior Workforce Data Analyst contributes to the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program. The OEWS program produces annual employment and wage estimates for over 600 occupations in Maine based on a bi-annual survey of business establishments. Responsibilities include classifying, clarifying, and processing occupational survey data, ensuring accuracy and completeness by researching job postings, employer websites, and conducting outreach to employers via email and phone to collect responses and/or additional information. Attention to detail, responsiveness, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are important to success. Most members of our team primarily work from home several days a week and some work primarily in our Augusta office. Our full staff usually joins together in the office on Wednesdays. Our team offers flexibility, work life balance, job security, work accommodations and support for wellbeing.
