About The Position

Aven Hospitality recently implemented Workday and continues to expand the platform across HR Operations, Recruiting, Total Rewards, and Payroll. We are seeking a Senior Workday Integration Developer to lead the design, governance, and optimization of our global integration ecosystem. Reporting to the Sr. Director of HRIS, this role will serve as the primary subject matter expert for Workday integrations, owning a portfolio of more than 50 integrations that support critical HR and business processes. This role partners closely with HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data flows between Workday and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate combines deep Workday integration expertise with strong stakeholder engagement skills, enabling HR and the business to leverage Workday effectively while maintaining strong data governance and operational reliability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Workday integration experience in enterprise environments
  • Advanced expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, BIRT, and RaaS
  • Strong knowledge of API-based integrations including SOAP, REST, XML web services, XSLT, XPATH, and JSON
  • Experience designing and supporting complex integration landscapes across multiple systems
  • Proven experience building complex Workday reports and calculated fields
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within highly integrated HR system environments
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and enhance integrations using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, calculated fields, BIRT, and RaaS reports.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable integration designs, defining source-to-target mapping, transformation logic, error handling, security, and support models.
  • Personally develop complex integrations and enhancements while providing architectural oversight for work delivered by managed services partners.
  • Lead the buildout of new integrations supporting all of HR including but not limited to: Recruiting, Total Rewards, Payroll, and future business initiatives as the Workday environment expands.
  • Act as the highest-level escalation point for complex integration issues, root cause analysis, failed transmissions, data discrepancies, and cross-system defects.
  • Direct managed services resources on integration delivery, reviewing technical designs, validating build quality, and advising on the best approach for complex enhancements or new implementations.
  • Own day-to-day health of the integration portfolio through monitoring, alerts, audit reviews, issue remediation, performance tuning, and release impact assessments.
  • Configure and maintain Workday security required for integrations, including domain permissions, integration system users, authentication methods, and data access controls.
  • Partner with IT, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and third-party vendors to define requirements, coordinate testing, manage cutovers, and deliver production-ready solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve dependencies, remove blockers, and drive integrations from design through deployment.
