About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, highly hands-on Senior Welding Technician or Welding Engineer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with robotic welding systems, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior team members in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Proven experience with MIG and resistance welding processes in a production environment.
Strong background working directly with Fanuc robotic systems; Motoman experience a plus.
Hands-on troubleshooting, programming, and setup of robotic weld cells.
Ability to read and interpret welding prints and technical documentation.
Experience training and mentoring welders and technicians.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Program, operate, and troubleshoot Fanuc welding robots (plus one Motoman).
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of weld failures and make necessary process adjustments.
Work with fixtures, jigs, and tooling to ensure consistent weld quality.
Train and mentor new hires and less experienced welding technicians and engineers.
Oversee daily welding operations to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance for welding equipment and robots.
Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company procedures.
Collaborate closely with the automation engineering and quality departments to resolve production issues and implement improvements.
