Requirements

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI or SCWI)
  • 2-4 years of experience in aluminum GTAW and GMAW welding
  • Experience in stainless steel welding AWS D1.6/D1.6M
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience as CWI and able to certify other welders
  • Working knowledge of AWS D1.2/D1.2M (ISO 3834 recommended) standards
  • Experience with Fronius Power sources strongly recommended
  • Knowledge of destructive testing

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and correct welding quality
  • Create and release parameter data sheets
  • Process and parameter adjustments for GTAW manual and GMAW Robot welding
  • Support Maintenance with technical support for all welding equipment
  • Collaboration in projects and FMEA`s
  • Collaboration in feasibility analysis and design review
  • Conduct technical review meetings with other departments as required
  • Support maintenance for testing, inspection and measurement of equipment
  • Continuous improvement of production equipment and production processes with a focus on welding operations.
  • Create & support preventative maintenance (PM/TPM) systems to improve equipment reliability
  • Conduct regular audits on welding equipment
  • Responsible for spare parts and welding consumables for GTAW & GMAW
  • Maintain work instructions, procedures, and guidelines relating to equipment needs
  • Interpretation of macrographs from welds
  • Perform error analysis and countermeasures
  • Educate, train and certify welding operators
