About The Position

The Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) G-6 Information Technology Support Services project is a comprehensive non-personal services contract designed to provide IT services and Digital Trainer support for CASCOM and its subordinate organizations at Fort Lee, Virginia. The CASCOM G-6 mission is to provide IT support to CASCOM and its subordinate organizations, including the Army Sustainment University (ASU), and the Ordnance (OD), Quartermaster (QM), and Transportation Corps (TC) schools. The G-6 provides comprehensive computer and IT support for Department of the Army (DA) civilians, contractors, and permanent party military personnel. This includes support for Non-secured Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), Digital Trainers, Logistic Information Systems (LIS), Mission Command system training support, conventional classrooms, Classroom XXI, faculty/staff, and web product support. This position serves as the lead Web Developer, working with G-6 Government webmaster and Branch Chief to manage web content and determine opportunities for web development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study, OR five (5) years Webmaster experience
  • Experience in web development and webmaster support including: performing graphical design, site planning and layout of web applications, websites, and web related services and technology utilizing dynamic and static web interfaces using HTML, DHTML, VB Script, Java Scripts, and Cascading Style Sheets
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting web content with Blogs, RSS/News feeds, audio and video, and social networking services and their associated APIs
  • Experience creating SharePoint pages and content utilizing basic web parts, administering permissions and groups, updating information, creating workflows, and basic maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of performing reviews and audit actions for websites and online content for relevant and timely information, compliance with regulations and policy
  • Solid oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to analyze and assess existing and emerging technologies to determine relevance to existing web environments
  • Ability to communicate technical information with the G-6 Webmasters, Graphics Artists, customers, and Government staff in order to define requirements
  • Familiarized with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards
  • Secret security clearance and CAC eligibility required

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as lead Web Developer for the organization
  • Work with G-6 Government webmaster and Branch Chief to determine web content management opportunities
  • Obtain information on near-term and forecasted changes to Government's web/graphic/image/video management path
  • Guide contract performance and execution for web-related activities
  • Design, develop, and maintain websites and web applications using modern technologies
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards
  • Create and manage SharePoint sites, pages, and workflows
  • Develop responsive web designs and user interfaces
  • Integrate social media, RSS feeds, audio/video content into web platforms
  • Conduct website audits for compliance, security, and content relevance
  • Provide technical guidance to junior web developers and content managers
  • Stay current with emerging web technologies and best practices
