To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing As a Senior Wealth Strategist, you are responsible for supporting and working closely with Relationship Managers and high net worth (HNW) clients to develop and implement wealth planning as part of CIBC Private Wealth’s integrated wealth management process. You will help clients understand their estate planning, tax planning, philanthropic vehicles, life insurance programs, and business succession planning. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. How you'll succeed Comprehensive Planning: Partner with Relationship Managers and HNW clients in a consultative role, developing holistic wealth plans to enhance the overall client experience with CIBC Private Wealth. Estate & Legacy Planning: Develop strategies for wealth transfer, asset protection, and philanthropic goals. Client Collaboration: Review estate planning and trust documents. Serve as a bridge between clients and outside advisors (i.e., attorneys, CPAs) to implement strategies. Research and review fiduciary and tax issues. Prepare written and graphical summaries. Business Development Support: Support business development activities by actively participating in prospect calls. Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of educational and marketing materials. External & Internal Engagement: Participate in educational seminars internally. Present to client and intermediary groups externally. Promote the wealth strategies offering across the firm. Who you are Education: You have a Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate. You have estate planning experience. You are an attorney with 10-15+ years of estate planning experience with expertise in estate planning, insurance planning, business succession planning, executive compensation, and philanthropic planning. Experience in income tax planning and accounting preferred. You have a network. You have experience in the trust and financial services industry with broad connections in the trust and estate legal community. You are a strong communicator. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present complex information to internal and external clients in a clear, focused and concise manner. You possess strong analytical skills. You have demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions. You are motivated by collective success. This role has an expected salary range of $200,000 - $240,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
