Role description: We are looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in Clifton Park, New York. The Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer will utilize their expertise and technical knowledge in conveyance and master planning projects to successfully lead and execute projects and support project pursuits primarily within the municipal markets. Role accountabilities: As a Senior Water Wastewater Engineer, you will lead, manage, and support the development of water and wastewater projects. Project Management You will be responsible for managing tasks/projects and clients’ expectations for the planning, design and construction of distribution/collection systems. Part of this responsibility will involve creating construction documents, specifications and handling construction oversight/administration. The Senior Water Wastewater Engineer will be client facing and be expected to work directly with clients to determine needs, develop the right strategies and provide solutions, and then manage the client’s expectations throughout the project lifecycle to achieve the desired benefits and outcomes. You will be a key player in leading the planning, management, execution and delivery of planning and design projects. Leadership: In this position you will develop relationships or provide guidance on possible pursuits. This may involve being asked to support account teams in identifying, tracking and positioning for opportunities. Part of this responsibility will include developing scopes of work and budgets Supervision: As a senior member of our team this role will involve supervising and supporting the work of others; this includes mentoring junior staff Additional Responsibilities: In addition, you will be expected to be involved in grant writing, GIS mapping/analysis

Requirements

Excellent technical engineering and writing skills.
Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
Leads teams and collaborates with clients.
10 years of relevant engineering experience in conveyance system investigations and rehabilitation.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
P.E. License

Nice To Haves

12+ years of experience.
Master's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Project Management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes.
Client relationships/experience with the local municipalities.
Proficient in ArcGIS Pro
