About The Position

This is an executive position that oversees the Feed Division for the cooperative, with a strategic emphasis on driving sales growth, advancing business performance, and positioning the division for the next generation of the feed industry. This role is responsible for delivering value to our membership while accelerating the overall success, growth, and profitability of the cooperative. The Sr. Vice-President of Feed is a key member of the senior leadership team and plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction, commercial focus, and long-term competitiveness of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes forward-looking business and sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
  • Leads the commercial strategy for the Feed Division, including sales leadership, customer segmentation, and go-to-market execution.
  • Strengthens the division’s competitive position by identifying emerging trends, customer needs, and innovations, shaping the future of the feed industry.
  • Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
  • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Leads the Feed Leadership Team with a strong focus on accountability, performance, and sales culture.
  • Responsible for Feed P and L with a disciplined, business-driven approach.
  • Works with Sr. Team to create short- and long-term strategic plans for CVA, with a strong emphasis on growth and market leadership.
  • Oversees purchasing, pricing strategy and sales execution, for the Feed Division to maximize margins and volume growth.
  • Drives a high-performance sales culture focused on customer relationships, value-added solutions, and measurable results.
  • Oversees Cap Ex process for Feed Division with alignment to strategic growth priorities.
  • Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating and financial condition of the division.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the Board of Directors while effectively communicating business performance and strategy.
  • Leads patron strategy and engagement with a strong focus on retention, growth, and long-term value creation.
  • Oversees employee engagement while building a results-driven, customer-focused culture.
  • Develops strong internal and external relationships that enhance business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Oversees Asset Optimization program for Feed Division to improve efficiency and return on investment.
  • Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement scalable systems, processes, and infrastructure to support growth.
  • Promotes a strong Safety culture for CVA.
  • Ensures compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Stays current on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting the feed business.
  • Other duties as assigned.
