About The Position

This executive role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in the security industry, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will oversee business development, manage key client relationships, and provide strategic direction to the sales team while collaborating with cross-functional leaders to align sales initiatives with organizational goals. This person will have direct oversight of NextGen’s Houston, Midland, Dallas, and Austin offices. Some overnight and out of town travel will be required.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of sales or operations experience in the security industry, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A positive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to interact with customers, co-workers and other personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with razor-sharp focus on the details

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and expand market share, identifying the strengths of each region.
  • Lead and mentor high-performing teams through upper management resources, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Support and oversee General Managers and Vice-Presidents Austin, Houston/Midland, and Dallas offices.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Network with vendors, suppliers, and industry contacts to identify growth opportunities.
  • Oversee needed escalations for project estimates, proposals, and contract negotiations through General Managers and Vice-Presidents.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and present regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Work with Vice-Presidents and General Managers on overall regional financial performance, identifying areas of improvement and instituting change as needed.
  • Oversee head count and departmental growth in relation to fiscal year budget.
  • Lead budget exercises for West division in conjunction with finance, HR, and executive teams.
  • Participate in Accounts Receivable process on an as-needed basis.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Travel overnight or out of town to provide consistent in-person presence for executive guidance, support, customer needs, and mentorship.
