Audax Management Company LLC Senior Vice President, Portfolio Market Diligence and Market Intelligence Boston, MA Responsibilities: Play a key role on the Portfolio Support Group (PSG) team, which focuses on pre-close market diligence, add-on acquisitions, and cross-portfolio value creation initiatives. Bring the best understanding of market dynamics to strategic planning, add-on prioritization, and end market prioritization throughout the entire deal lifecycle. Work with PSG team, deal teams, and management teams within portfolio companies to develop high fidelity view of end markets, support integration of end market demand drivers into go-to-market focus areas and conduct strategic planning. Facilitate strategic planning sessions and assist in annual business plan development of portfolio companies. Identify diligence providers, participate in work scoping, and engage in kickoff meetings, staying actively involved throughout the lifecycle of market diligence engagements — from initiation through completion, providing timely perspectives on asset attractiveness and key diligence findings helping partners make investment decisions. Collaborate with investment teams and portfolio company management teams to integrate market intelligence into growth strategies, enhance execution of buy- and sell-side market diligence, and leverage third-party tools to deepen insights and support decision-making. Participate in mid-hold market diligence check-ins to assess how portfolio companies are performing relative to market trends and adjust strategy accordingly. Manage and continuously evolve the market intelligence toolset and service provider ecosystem to ensure comprehensive coverage of the investment team requirements, responsive support, and high-impact execution across diligence and strategic initiatives. Lead select cross-portfolio value creation initiatives, including helping stand up global delivery model capabilities, driving usage of risk management tools, providing tariff response management strategies, and shaping the company’s approach to Generative AI across internal operations and portfolio companies. Domestic travel to industry meetings and portfolio companies up to 20%. Salary range: $288,000 - $330,000/year Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field plus eight (8) years of project management experience and management consulting. Experience must include five (5) years with each of the following: direct experience with market due diligence and strategy consulting projects in the industrial, consumer, financial services, healthcare, and technology industries across the EMEA, NA, and APAC regions; working with market intelligence toolset systems, processes, and third-party resources, including tools such as Sentrisk, Similarweb, Placer.ai, and S&P CapIQ; leading market due diligence for mid-market/large cap U.S. private equity/investment management firms; and value creation workstreams including assessing and implementing new growth strategies and strategy road mapping. Experience must include two (2) years with each of the following: adopting digital solutions; and implementing global capability centers to support operational scalability.
