About The Position

The Senior Vice President, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis is a critical part of Antares. They will report to the MD, Legal Entity Controller. The SVP’s primary role is to lead the FP&A function for the organization, being responsible for financial forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, fund performance, segment reporting, and expense monitoring. This SVP will act as a strategic partner to the CFO, executive committee, business unit heads, and the Company’s owners providing actionable insights to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. The role requires a strong combination of critical thinking, analytical expertise, leadership skills, and deep knowledge of private credit and asset management dynamics. Our ideal candidate is independent, motivated, detail-orientated, and able to analyze data and convey results effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related discipline
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 7–10 years in FP&A leadership roles.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, proactive and willing to analyze additional layers of information needed to master subject area at hand
  • Demonstrated knowledge in financial modeling including experience building models from scratch and leveraging technology.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to group goals.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
  • Deep experience in the financial services industry with expertise in asset management
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior executives and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Experience using financial modeling software, such as OneStream, preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the annual budget and long-term financial strategy, including presentations at annual board meetings.
  • Oversee quarterly re-forecasts of the budget.
  • Prepare the monthly performance deck with Budget vs Actual commentary and analysis.
  • Forecast fund-level performance, including IRRs, carried interest, and management fee projections.
  • Review quarterly business segment performance against the budget.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to understand financial trends (actuals vs. budget), perform variance analysis, and handle other financial reporting projects.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed for ongoing business requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of three FP&A professionals, encouraging professional development and a strong team culture.
  • Improve and update procedures, tools, and systems as required by business growth.
  • Coordinate with department heads and the executive committee on key strategic growth initiatives.
  • Improve the expense monitoring process.
