What this job involves: As SVP, Director of Project Management at JLL, you will be responsible for directing all project management activities and managing a team of 40+ project management professionals serving a Financial Services client. This senior leadership role requires demonstrated ability to develop and manage a strong team focused on delivering value to the client while working within process requirements of both the client and JLL. You'll play a lead role in developing and executing an integrated strategy for your team to support the business unit's overall strategy while partnering with other service line leaders and Operations teams to achieve account team goals through superior client service and project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Minimum 10 years managing geographically diverse teams
  • Minimum 10 years experience managing design and construction of multiple projects across broad geography in office/retail environments
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, demonstrating ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in dynamic environment
  • Ability to create and effectively present Executive Level presentations
  • Experience in Building and Delivering Capital Planning
  • Strong understanding of real estate life cycle and proven ability to collaborate with transaction managers, facility managers, engineers, and planning teams
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and process as they relate to corporate real estate
  • Ability to travel throughout United States, estimated at 40%

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • Experience serving Financial Services clients
  • Leadership experience in retail construction and project management
  • Experience working directly for General Contractor in Retail/Office verticals
  • Experience with Operations & Program teams in coordination and strategy development
  • Knowledge of merchandising, technology, fixtures, furniture, and branding coordination
  • Advanced experience in KPI development and delivery
  • Track record of creating environments with strong morale and team development
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships based on mutual trust and respect

Responsibilities

  • Strategically direct all project management activities and manage 40+ geographically dispersed project management professionals through authentic communication and active listening
  • Lead and develop the project management team in providing superior client service and project execution while fostering people-centric environments that promote growth and accountability
  • Partner strategically with other service line leaders (Facilities, Programs, Occupancy Planning, Transactions, Operations) in achieving account team goals through collaborative relationships
  • Build and maintain trusted advisory relationships with client and account leadership to ensure strategic alignment and project success across all organizational levels
  • Create solution-oriented environments where teams consistently seek leading edge project management practices through continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure Team Leads and Project Managers exceed Client targets and account business plan through thoughtful questions, tactical decisions, and leading by example
  • Develop and deliver successful KPIs while effectively identifying and mitigating project risks through oversight and tactical decision-making
