Requirements

Minimum 4 years of Veterinary Assistant experience required
Proficient in IV catheter placement and venipuncture
Strong experience with surgical assisting and anesthesia monitoring
Skilled in lab work and sample processing
Strong knowledge of radiology (X-rays) and proper positioning
Confident in animal handling and restraint techniques
Ability to support client education and communication

Responsibilities

Maintain hospital standards to ensure patient safety and cleanliness of treatment and exam areas
Perform and assist with catheter placement and blood draws
Assist with radiographs, ensuring proper positioning
Prepare for and assist with minor procedures
Safely restrain patients for exams and procedures
Assist with surgery preparation and monitoring
Maintain laundry and surgical instruments
Support Client Service Representatives as needed
Assist Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with daily tasks
