About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Vessel Designer to lead the mechanical design and engineering of pressure vessels and related equipment for Oil & Gas applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in pressure vessel codes, mechanical integrity, and advanced engineering analysis.

Requirements

• Strong background in pressure vessel and boiler design .
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry equipment design.
• Proficiency in mechanical design and engineering analysis .
• Hands-on experience with FEA tools for stress analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ASME BPVC, API, and NBIC standards.
• Experience with vendor coordination and design review.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with gas lift equipment, ESP housings, and separation vessels.
• Knowledge of fabrication and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with corrosion allowance, fatigue, and fracture mechanics considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, and storage tanks for oil and gas equipment such as gas lift systems, ESP housings, and surface separation vessels.
• Perform detailed mechanical, thermal, and structural analyses , including stress analysis using FEA tools.
• Conduct life assessments to ensure vessel integrity and long-term reliability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards including: ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII Div 1 & 2) API 650 / API 620 NBIC regulations
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, and design documentation .
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, and design changes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, QA, and field operations teams.
• Support constructability improvements and resolution of technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
