About The Position

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a key role in driving and scaling research initiatives across the company. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help ensure a seamless, innovative, and user-friendly experience across all devices. Your expertise will guide design decisions by advocating for usability, consistency, and customer needs. You will mentor and support product and design teams in research methodologies, enabling them to conduct their own studies while maintaining high-quality insights. Your work will directly impact Zoom’s customer experience, helping create a cohesive and intuitive ecosystem across multiple products.

The UX Research team at Zoom drives the foundation of our customer experience, generating insights that inform design and product decisions across the Workplace ecosystem. Join a collaborative research team working with product, design, engineering, and accessibility to set standards, shape user experiences, and build scalable, user-centered solutions across Zoom.

Requirements

• Hold BS or equivalent experience with 6+ years in UX research, including expertise in scaling research across large organizations.
• Be proficient in user experience research methods and tools, such as Qualtrics, Tableau, and usertesting.com, with the ability to design and execute studies independently.
• Have a deep understanding and handling of visual design with a passion for polish and an expert eye for detail—spacing, layout, motion and Structure.
• Have a proven ability to evaluate and create engaging user experiences that balance functionality and emotional impact, grounded in research insights.
• Be a skilled systems thinker with deep problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience contributing to or maintaining research frameworks and practices.
• Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate research findings, influence partners, and enable teams using evidence-based UX practices.

Responsibilities

• Leading high-impact UX research projects, owning end-to-end planning, execution, and synthesis to generate actionable insights for Zoom’s products.
• Designing and implement research studies, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods approaches, to ensure a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (designers, engineers, product managers, and accessibility specialists) to align on research goals, share findings, and inform product decisions.
• Advocating for usability, accessibility, and customer-centric design, translating insights into actionable recommendations that drive product improvements.
• Developing and maintain research frameworks and best practices, ensuring consistency and high-quality methods across projects and teams.
• Mentoring team members and cross-functional partners to build research capabilities while communicating findings through clear reports, visualizations, and presentations to inform design and product strategy.
