At Nutanix, you will be joining the Nutanix User Experience team, a dynamic group of 70 talented individuals spanning across the US, Germany, and India. We are particularly interested in candidates who exhibit a passion for understanding user needs and possess a portfolio that showcases robust qualitative and quantitative research skills in both enterprise on-premise and cloud design. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Design, who is committed to fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Our work setup is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2-3 days per week, which allows for a great balance between in-person collaboration and the flexibility of remote work. Additionally, this position has no travel requirements, enabling you to focus on your contributions to our projects without the need for frequent commuting.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of user research experience for web and/or cloud products.
  • Must have domain experience in cloud computing, etc.
  • Must be able to articulate the business impact of successful research projects.
  • B2B experience required.
  • Strong proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Expertise in analyzing telemetry data using tools like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
  • Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder presentations and reports.
  • Ability to synthesize and translate research insights into actionable design improvements.
  • Experience in developing user journeys and conducting contextual inquiries.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute comprehensive user research initiatives to uncover user needs and behaviors across our product portfolio.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user research findings into the product development lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement research protocols, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methods, to inform design decisions.
  • Utilize telemetry data and analytics tools to enhance insights into user interactions and drive product optimization strategies.
  • Monitor and report on user engagement through dashboards and other reporting mechanisms, tracking progress over time.
  • Mentor junior researchers and designers, promoting a culture of learning and user-centered design principles within the team.
  • Champion user advocacy by effectively communicating research insights and user stories to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Establish key objectives for the first year, focusing on building a robust research strategy for flagship products and fostering a user-centric design culture.
