About The Position

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Utility Infrastructure Manager to support the delivery of large, utility‑intensive infrastructure within major data center construction programs. These multi‑phase developments involve substantial power demand, complex substation and transmission coordination, and extensive site utility work. Must be willing to travel regularly to project sites and client locations as required.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel regularly to project sites and client locations as required.
  • Experience managing large utility, electrical, industrial, or mission‑critical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of high‑voltage substation construction, transmission systems, and large‑capacity power delivery.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field required.
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder groups including contractors, utility providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness related to contracts, procurement, scheduling, and risk.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Additional training or certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of high‑voltage substation and transmission‑level infrastructure required for large‑scale data center developments.
  • Coordinate closely with utility providers on power delivery schedules, grid connections, and long‑lead equipment.
  • Oversee construction interfaces related to high‑capacity electrical systems and transmission upgrades.
  • Manage installation of major power systems, modular infrastructure components, and backup generation.
  • Coordinate multi‑phase construction activities across large campuses with significant utility, water, and sewer improvements.
  • Monitor fast‑track construction activities tied to power delivery, site utilities, and building infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and utility partners across all delivery phases.
  • Support schedule development, risk identification, reporting, and interface management for utility‑related scopes.
  • Ensure compliance with permitting, environmental requirements, and local authority processes.
  • Provide on‑site oversight for utility and infrastructure construction activities.
  • Drive safety leadership and ensure adherence to all health and safety standards.
  • Support resolution of technical challenges and ensure quality across all project stages.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
