The Senior US gas data analyst will be responsible for the development and monitoring of US natural gas markets supporting the expansion of Kpler’s coverage to North America including pipeline flows, upstream production, infrastructure developments, outages. The role will be instrumental in the scoping, structuring and sourcing of data to build a holistic picture of US gas markets leading to accurate, timely and actionable insights for market players. In addition to tracking market developments across infrastructure, supply, demand, the role will involve close collaboration with our Insight team to support the data gathering for market reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience analysing US gas markets, including deep market knowledge (production, flows, hub pricing, traded products, demand)
  • Demonstrated understanding of commodities or energy markets, with a solid grasp of how supply, demand, pricing, and infrastructure interact.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of data literacy and database management to work effectively with product and tech teams.
  • Good understanding of competition landscape for US gas data analytics.
  • The ability to translate business needs into Technical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and help develop the business and product roadmap for US natural gas data analytics: working closely with the product and tech teams as well as with data analysts to structure and source relevant data sources
  • Monitor US gas production, feed gas flows, pipeline capacity, LNG export terminals (and liquefaction capacity buildout), and related infrastructure using data from Kpler and industry sources.
  • Work with the commercial and customer success teams to present new and existing products to clients and prospects, demonstrating Kpler’s value add and helping clients extract maximum value from the datasets.
  • Analyse how changes in US supply, infrastructure, and regulation affect global LNG trade, shipping flows, and supply–demand balances.
