About The Position

The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of specific business strategies by contributing to business development and growth through cultivating relationships with designated clients and making informed underwriting decisions to enhance the profitability of the portfolio. Key responsibilities involve generating new business, retaining renewals, and ensuring the overall profitability of our Private NFP D&O business within our Specialty insurance vertical.

Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate and price business by applying underwriting judgment and adhering to regulations.
  • Identify and minimize risks through due diligence and escalation of issues when necessary.
  • Mentor junior underwriters
  • Comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to recording and measurement of insurance risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with producers and customers.
  • Assist with improvements in underwriting practices and pricing strategies.
  • Research and obtain market intelligence to enhance profit goals.
  • Contribute to special projects and department initiatives.
