Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in trade marketing, commercial analytics, or pricing strategy within CPG, retail, or fresh produce
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of trade spend, margin structures, and retail dynamics
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms
  • Post secondary education in business, analytics or other related disciplines required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Proficiency in working with computers and software programs, specifically ERP, KPI Portals and Microsoft Office more specifically Excel and Nav.
  • Ability to identify issues and problem solve independently using appropriate resources internally and externally.
  • Displays strong initiative and able to work independently with little direction, within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Team player with a high level of dedication.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines; and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Must be strong with follow through as many tasks require constant follow-up.
  • Very high degree of confidentiality and integrity required regarding all aspects of the business.
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel to the U.S. or internationally as required.
  • A valid driver's license and use of personal vehicle are required as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of trade marketing analytics strategy aligned with retail growth objectives
  • Provide strategic recommendations on pricing, promotional planning, and trade investment optimization
  • Partner with Sales leadership on account-specific growth strategies and performance reviews
  • Establish frameworks to evaluate trade ROI, margin impact, and long-term brand equity
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging industry trends, consumer behavior shifts, and retail landscape changes within the produce sector
  • Lead ongoing competitive intelligence efforts, including pricing, promotional activity, assortment shifts, and strategic positioning
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations to strengthen competitive advantage
  • Own pricing analytics strategy, including monitoring market pricing dynamics and recommending adjustments to maximize profitability and competitiveness
  • Lead post-event promotional analysis to evaluate sales lift, incremental revenue, customer engagement, and trade spend effectiveness
  • Develop predictive insights to inform future promotional planning and trade calendar development
  • Oversee the analysis of sales performance, market share trends, and key commercial KPIs
  • Design and implement dashboards and reporting tools that support executive decision-making
  • Present quarterly business insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Act as the central analytics partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations
  • Align trade marketing initiatives with supply chain, margin targets, and operational capabilities
  • Influence cross-functional decisions through clear communication of data-driven insights
  • Lead and mentor trade marketing analysts (as applicable) and build analytical capabilities within the organization
  • Establish best practices in trade performance measurement and reporting
  • Identify tools, systems, and processes to enhance analytics maturity
