Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3- 5 years of experience in specialty area - tool making
  • Must be able to use measuring equipment and gages to ensure produced part meets specification
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Programming knowledge a plus
  • Experience with CNC lathes a plus
  • Experience using 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs set-ups on a variety of CNC equipment with a general knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls
  • Utilizes knowledge of CNC controls to set zero reference points, tool offsets, loads programs,
  • Run production, monitoring parts to ensure accurate high-quality parts are made safely and as efficiently
  • Utilize the data collection system to accurately record production activities including time spent, quantity produced, and any rejected parts
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings, basic understanding of GD&T as well as the ability to work from verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of safety, quality and continuous improvement expectations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet production demands.
