About The Position

THE POSITION REPORTS TO THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY EDUCATION. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS TO PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO THE COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND ENROLLMENT DEPARTMENT. RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS IN REGARD TO THE INTAKE AND ENROLLMENT PROCESS AS WELL AS SUPPORT FOR CURRENTLY ENROLLED PARTICIPANTS. ALL EMPLOYEES ARE EXPECTED TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COMPLIANT WITH SENIOR TOTAL LIFE CARE VALUES OF RESPECT, INTEGRITY, ACCOUNTABILITY, COMPATIBLE GOALS, AND COMPASSIONATE CARE.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of one year of professional level experience in administrative and customer service in a health care atmosphere
  • NC Driver’s License
  • Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be detailed orientated and proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Publisher.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable of Medicare and Medicaid preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Director of Community Education, manages the administrative tasks involved in the enrollment process of potential enrollees to the program.
  • Assists with the evaluation of potential enrollees to the program to determine participant needs and eligibility for enrollment.
  • Facilitates the scheduling of assessments that are completed in the home and at the PACE Center.
  • Assists with the development, implementation and evaluation of the overall marketing strategy for the recruitment and retention of PACE participants for the building and maintenance of an optimal enrollee census.
  • Filing new participant packets to their permanent finance folders. Scanning any assigned paperwork, i.e., Power of Attorney (POA) paperwork, enrollment summary agreements, etc.
  • Provides tours to those interested in learning about PACE, as needed.
  • Updates staff picture pages for the participant handbook/enrollment agreement.
  • Assists participants with cancelling insurance plans that wish to remain with PACE.
  • Mails out handwritten welcome cards to new enrollees within the first week of enrollment.
  • Does a weekly check-in face to face or by phone with new enrollees within the first 30 days of enrollment and reports updates to the center managers.
  • Assists with getting new signatures on annual Medicaid forms.
  • Assists with the operations of new participant orientation.
  • Works with nursing and medical records to prepare new participant bags, nametags, and folders for orientation as well as updates current participant name badges as designated.
  • Supports Senior TLC’s mission to encourage and support the quality of life of seniors wishing to continue living in the community; its vision to be the preferred provider of individualized care for seniors in the community; and its values of respect, integrity, accountability, compatible goals, and compassionate care.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.
