Carlson Wagonlit Travel Military and Government Divison (AKA\: SatoTravel) Software Engineering Department in San Antonio, TX is growing! We are seeking an experienced and talented professional to join the team as a Senior Test Engineer . You will be responsible for Test Automation Strategy formulation, p roviding Technical Leadership and Strategic Direction. Responsible for design & development of the Test Automation framework ensuring that tests are easily maintainable and can be used efficiently Pro-actively analyze current processes and practices and suggest/drive improvements. Also, defines processes as needed Maintains a “big and complete” picture view of the product, its dependencies, organizational goals, technology arena, etc. and helps guide & direct the functioning of the automation efforts Pro-actively seeks to make continuous improvements to Test coverage, execution and automation Will be responsible and involved in supporting the build master implement/improve build test processes, environments, and scripts. These build tests ensure that the code drops to quality assurance are of the highest of quality Support of specific automation runs & reporting Self-starter and able to perform with minimal supervision while working in a diverse team environment following Agile processes for software development

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree, with a technology or business emphasis, or equivalent education/experience
• Experience working in a fast paced Agile environment and manage continuously changing business needs; excellent time management skills required
• Experience working on a scrum team
• Experience in working closely and building a rapport with developers, product management, business analysts and other QA team members
• Strong communications required; communicate changes / impacts to QA timelines due to issues, change requests, delays, etc effectively
• Ability to focus and prioritize is important. Understanding the distinction between the urgent and the important and effectively prioritizing tasks is key
• Ability to motivate self and others is important. Also, vital is being able to set a good example for the other team members
• Ability to strategize and look ahead and at the big picture
• Patience and a touch of humility is valuable, especially in all dealings with team members. This is especially true when trying to mentor or guide other team members, the ability to articulate in ways that are understood by the listener at their level is necessary while also possessing good listening skills
• The humility to acknowledge need for continuous learning and to undertake a program of learning to constantly update skills and keep abreast of current developments in the industry is vital
• A great deal of maturity, accountability, high degree of integrity, highest levels of pro-active behavior, ability to take initiative and professional behavior is naturally expected
• 5+ years developing test automation
• Proficient in Selenium automation and other automation frameworks (like Selenium/ Junit/ Jmeter) for testing data driven applications
• Because this work would be with our Federal Government Client, the government requires that the successful candidate be a US Citizen.
• Additionally, you will be subject to government background investigation including a credit check and criminal history review.
• Self-starter and able to perform with minimal supervision while working in a diverse team environment following Agile processes for software development

Nice To Haves

• QTP/UFT automation experience a plus
• HP ALM (version 11 or higher) experience a plus
• Experience testing APIs and RESTFUL web services a plus
• Experience Integrating automated tests/frameworks into the build/deployment pipelines a plus
• Americorps/PeaceCorps and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply
