About The Position

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will plan and execute a wide range of test activities across mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems throughout the product lifecycle. This role supports development, qualification, and production efforts and involves hands-on work with hardware, instrumentation, and test automation. You will collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure systems are robust, reliable, and production-ready. This is a collaborative, execution-focused role for engineers who value rigorous testing as a core contributor to system performance, scalability, and quality.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in test engineering, development testing, integration and test, or manufacturing test roles
Hands-on experience testing complex hardware systems in high-reliability environments
Experience designing and executing tests across multiple technical domains (e.g., mechanical, electrical, thermal, or integrated systems)
Familiarity with test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, sensors, and laboratory equipment
Ability to produce clear test documentation and communicate technical results effectively

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting both early development and production test environments
Background working closely with manufacturing or operations teams
Experience using test data to drive continuous improvement and design iteration
Exposure to test automation, infrastructure scaling, or data quality initiatives

Responsibilities

Plan, execute, and analyze development, qualification, and production tests for hardware systems and subsystems
Design, build, and maintain test fixtures, ground support equipment, and instrumentation for bench-level and system-level testing
Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, acceptance criteria, and test reports aligned with program requirements
Execute functional, environmental, performance, and acceptance testing, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate test results into design, process, and quality improvements
