About The Position

BryceTech is currently looking for a Senior Technology Transfer Specialist. This position will be supporting The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Chemical Biological Center, known as DEVCOM CBC. This role will lead negotiation of cooperative research and development agreements (CRADAs) and licensing agreements to transition technologies to industry and support government leads. The Person in this role will: Lead negotiation and execution of CRADAs, licensing agreements, and material-transfer agreements to advance lab innovations. Develop intellectual property strategies, guiding researchers through disclosure processes and patent filings. Conduct market and techno-economic analyses to identify commercialization pathways and industry partners. Manage patent portfolio maintenance—filing deadlines, annuity payments, and patent family reviews. Coordinate technology marketing efforts, including webinars, industry days, and partnering brochures. Establish performance metrics, tracking licensing revenue, spin-off formation, and partnership milestones. Advise on compliance with Bayh-Dole, federal IP policies, and export-control regulations affecting technologies. Represent the organization at technology-transfer conferences, pitching technologies and fostering networks. Mentor junior specialists on negotiation techniques, IP evaluation, and database management. Collaborate with legal counsel, business development, and lab management to align transfer efforts with strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science, Engineering, or Technology Management
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology transfer, licensing, or IP management.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with federal laboratory partnership mechanisms and IP law.
