About The Position

As a Senior Technical Sales Specialist, Cell Culture, BioProduction at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be part of a team that makes a positive impact globally by enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The BioProduction Group (BPG) supports biopharmaceutical manufacturers from research through commercial-scale production with innovative technologies, solutions, and services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This field sales position covers a Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware territory, requiring residency in Maryland. In this role, you will drive revenue growth and customer success by applying your technical expertise and consultative sales approach to identify opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and deliver solutions that advance scientific breakthroughs. You will provide technical leadership in customer engagements, conduct product demonstrations, and act as a trusted advisor to help customers achieve their research and development goals, directly contributing to the company's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree plus 5+ years of technical sales experience in life sciences, analytical instruments, or related Field Application Experience experience
  • Strong technical understanding of relevant scientific workflows and applications
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Expert presentation and communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders
  • Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Success in consultative selling and complex sales cycles
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Proven relationship building and networking capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Ability to travel up to 50- 75% (3 out of 5 days of the week) within assigned territory
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to develop and implement territory plans
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions
  • Strong customer service focus
