About The Position

Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling our workforce during a pivotal stage of innovation and growth. This temporary role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for technical positions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of technical positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant work experience or some combination thereof
  • Minimum of 7 years of recruiting experience
  • Proven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirements
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with iCIMS ATS system
  • Background in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industries

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelines
  • Build and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiations
  • Create and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needs
  • Source and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, aviation and manufacturing functions
  • Conduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessments
  • Follow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
  • Provide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trends
  • Represent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetups
