About The Position

Odyssey is an AI lab pioneering general-purpose world models—a new form of audio-visual intelligence. These models will power the next generation of gaming, simulation, education, healthcare, companionship, support, and training, and unlock entirely new consumer, enterprise, and intelligence applications. What we're looking for The ideal candidate has experience in technical recruiting, ideally within AI or DeepTech startups, and a proven track record of hiring researchers and engineers in highly competitive talent markets. They have successfully scaled teams in high-growth startups or technology companies and bring strong sourcing skills, including deep expertise in niche AI talent networks. Comfort operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities evolve quickly and adaptability is key is essential. What you'll do As a Senior Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for creating a hiring strategy that matches our ambitious technical and growth objectives in the immediate, medium and long term. Then you will execute on that strategy, pivoting along the way to meet the needs of a dynamic startup.You will recommend clear closing strategies for elite candidates and carry through from start to finish the process to bring world class Research, Engineering and Technical talent to Odyssey.

Requirements

  • You are an experienced technical recruiter with a deep understanding of hiring for highly specialized engineering and research roles.
  • You have a proven ability to partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to translate business needs into effective hiring strategies.
  • You are a proactive, data-driven operator who uses metrics and market insights to guide decision-making and continuously improve hiring outcomes.
  • You are an exceptional communicator who builds trust with candidates and internal stakeholders alike.
  • You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
  • You take ownership end-to-end—from sourcing and closing to process improvement and employer branding.
  • You have strong judgment and know how to balance speed, quality, and candidate experience.
  • You are passionate about building diverse, high-performing teams and raising the hiring bar.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for key technical hires
  • Develop a proactive sourcing strategy to build an elite pipeline of researchers and engineers
  • Partner closely with executives/hiring managers to understand talent needs and refine job descriptions. You are not afraid to make controversial recommendations
  • Create and implement best-in-class recruiting processes that help us scale–fast
  • Manage relationships with agencies, external recruiters, and other talent partners
  • Establish and evangelize our employer brand to attract top-tier AI talent
